I got yet another sad report of another Nigerian hacked to death during the Saturday's polls. Here is the sad note that came with it, and the very graphic photo after the cut
His name was Clever Orukuowu. He was clever enough to know that change was in view. Clever worked hard to see this change happen in Nigeria. He joined the change party, APC. He did not stop there. He supported the Buhari Support Organizations (BSO) as a volunteer in his local Omoku.
He was jubilant when his chosen candidate, Gen Buhari and his political party of choice, successfully sailed through the presidential election. He looked forward to the gubernatorial election in his State, Rivers State.
But Clever's life was snuffed out on the morning of Saturday 11th April, 2015 at Unit 005, Ward 6, Omoku during accreditation. Clever and all the people who were needlessly murdered in cold blood can rest in peace because they are the last batch of victims of electoral fraud and violence in our nation.
The new Nigeria they died for will ensure that justice is speedily meted out to those who took their lives prematurely.
Rest in peace, Clever. Rest in peace all that died through electoral violence in Nigeria. Justice shall be served. Speedily!
