Lawyers in Edo State yesterday threatened legal action against the state governor, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, for alleged continued disobedience of the court order affirming the constitutional provision for financial autonomy for the Judicial arm of government.
The lawyers under the aegis of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), also said they will be asking for monetary damages from the governor for mortgaging their means of livelihood.
Mrs Patience Iyomon, chairman of the state branch of the NBA, stated this while leading other lawyers on protest along major streets in Benin.
