With EMA, MOBO and Soul Train award nominations, it is safe to say Davido is a busy man. But in spite of him touring the world and selling out concerts, Davido is focused on one thing right now, and that is finishing university.
According to pulse.ng The 21-year-old singer was recently asked when fans should expect his second album, and he said: “Yeah, next year it is. I don’t have a title for it yet. You know, I have been here and there, going back and forth. But I am going to slow things down a bit so that I can finish schooling in April. That’s my my major priority now.”
He also spoke about his alleged differences with Wizkid. “Well, I have not been around, I have been on tour, no time for scoffs. Well, he is doing his thing, Shout out to him,” he said.
Davido is also excited about his Soul Train awards nomination. He talked about how he found out about being the only African act nominated alongside artistes like Shaggy and Ziggy Marley.
“I just got down from the plane when I heard the news. It’s a big deal for me. I mean, having the likes of Ziggy Marley, Machel Montano, Nico & Vinz, and Shaggy as nominees of the same category as mine. I feel honoured,” he said.
