Barcelona suffer a shock defeat at home to Celta Vigo
Barcelona suffered a shock defeat in the Spanish La Liga after falling at home to Celta Vigo. The visiting team stunned the home side with a 1-0 away win at the Camp Nou to take all three points, and now they have gone down on the league table to third position.
Coach Luis Enrique had no answer and means of breaching his former team, one that he was managing before being named as Barcelona coach, with his side struggling to breach Celta.
Celta took a surprise lead in the second half when Joaquin Larrivey finished after a Nolito's backheel.
Sergio Alvarez towered above every other player on the pitch, repelling everything thrown at him by Barcelona.
It is the first time in ten years that Celta will be beating Barcelona, working out a perfect way to end that run.
Barcelona were a bit unlucky, failing in the chances they got to score a goal, hitting the bar on four different occasions.
Lionel Messi, Neymar and Luis Suarez(on a day that he was making his full home debut) were all on parade for Barcelona, but they somehow contrived not to come to the party as they lost yet another game.
From not conceding a goal for a long time, Barca has now conceded four goals in two matches and are now behind Real and Atletico Madrid on the table .
