Last week, a screenshot of what many believed was Ariana Grande's father cautioning boyfriend Big Sean on instagram went viral.
Big Sean posted a photo with a Detroit fitted cap on, had a caption that read, "I give her that D... #Detroit," a lyric from his verse on the hit song "Mercy."
Under the comments, someone with the name Edward Butera (Ariana's father's name) left the comment, "that D. better be Detroit Sean."
As amazing and hilarious as that comment was,Ariana's publicist tells Refinery29 that the Instagram was a fake, therefore Butera didn't actually write those things to his daughter's boyfriend.
