Some Muslims trekked from far places like Kano to Zaria to commemorate the death of Imam Hussein. Some of the worshippers were knocked down by a bus killing some of them. Many of them including women and children were exhausted.
I do not mean to attack our Shia brothers, but do they have to trek all the way from such a distance and become exhausted or killed to commemorate the death of Imam Hussein?
Does Islam require people to suffer to worship God when there are alternative transport facilities?
Why can’t these worshippers travel by buses and cars to Zaria instead of this exhausting exercise? – Abdullahi Dahiru, Kano, Nigeria.
