As part of last minutes plans towards the Saturday's elections, President Goodluck Jonathan is currently meeting with Muhammadu Buhari, presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), behind closed doors. The meeting, which reportedly started at exactly 9:10 am this morning, is holding at the Sheraton hotels, Abuja.
The meeting which is believed to be connected with the election, is said to have been put together by the national peace committee chaired by Abdulsalami Abubakar, who is also in attendance. Other personalities in attendance are John Onayeikan, the Roman Catholic cardinal archbishop of Abuja; Sa’ad Abubakar, the sultan of Sokoto; Mathew Kukah, bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Sokoto; and John Oyegun, national chairman of APC.
