President Jonathan has asked Nigerians to be patient as they wait for INEC to collate and announce the results of Saturday's presidential and National Assembly elections.
The president, who is also running for presidency under the PDP umbrella has written this call on his Facebook page.
Nigerians are currently anxious, what with the vague results being published online and APC's accusations of electoral manipulation and PDP's counter-claims.
President Jonathan has asked Nigerians to be calm and wait for the elections to be announced, urging them to be non-violent in the process.
His words: “we waited patiently to vote in these elections, now I want to urge all Nigerians to also wait patiently for the Independent National Electoral Commission to collate and announce results.
“We must ensure that we do not get involved in acts that breach our peaceful co-existence that we patriotically demonstrated during the elections.
“May God bless Nigeria.”
