Lagos socialite, Adunni Bankole, has died of heart-related illness according to reports. Mrs. Adunni Bankole was one of the wives of businessman and politician, Chief Alani Bankole, making her the step-mother of the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole.
According to Punch, dunni Bankole, who is the Iyalode of Gbagura, died in her mother’s house in Mende area of Maryland in Lagos on Saturday, January 3 after five days in coma.
Adunni Bankole was said to have been ill for over a month under medical attention and about to give her second daughter, Mopelola, out in marriage on the day she died.
Her death didn't however stop the wedding from going on.
Adunni was a socialite and a businesswoman and had once operated a household care product store, Sublime Group, at Opebi, Ikeja in Lagos, before moving it to Ogba Retail market.
She is survived by her husband, Chief Flanmi Bankole, the four children she had for him—Toyin, Mopelola, Layiwola jnr, and Adesola and her 79 year-old mother.
