Supporters of the APC presidential candidate in the February 14, 2015 election, Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari have just attacked properties belonging to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members and leaders in Gona Village of Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State.
A convoy of the APC governorship candidate, Inuwa Yahya and campaign Team dropped the APC youths at the PDP office, two PDP campaign vehicles and several building, billboards of PDP governorship candidate and shops were burnt down.
“The APC candidate was on his way to Billiri town for a rally and his convoy suddenly stopped in the town and some of the youth in the convoy began to destroy the billboards of Governor Dankwambo and other PDP properties,”
Villagers said that the incident caused serious panic in the town because residents thought they were under attack from members of the Boko Haram sect.
