Belgium defender, Thomas Vermaelen has returned to Barcelona after undergoing a successful surgery in Finland. The former Arsenal player is yet to play a single match for his side after making a switch to the Spanish side in last summer.
The Belgian was successfully operated on by Doctor Sakari Orava and will now begin his recovery in the Barcelona, where they hope that inside a few months, he will have overcome his hamstring problems and be fit and ready to make his debut.
The defender joined Barcelona this summer but injuries have prevented him from lining out for Luis Enrique's team.
