Former
Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, has vowed to oppose the Security Laws
(Amendment) 2014 that will make the country a police/ military state
like North Korea and Iran.
Speaking
at Ufungumano House on Tuesday, Raila, who is also the CORD leader,
said countries that allow military in civilian affairs experience the
most coups and instability.
He said with this Security Bill, the media of coverage of Westgate and Mandera attacks would have been illegal.
Raila urged Kenyans to unite and oppose the draconian Bill that will override the constitution of Kenya.
He said he will organise a historic mass protest that will oust the Jubilee Government claiming that it has failed Kenyans.
Meanwhile, Siaya Senator, James Orengo has threatened to go to court and stop the passing of the draconian Security Bill.
Speaking
at the same venue, Orengo said the Bill is unconstitutional and should
be opposed by all Kenyans who believe in democracy and rule of law.
Others who attended the event include Machakos Senator, Johnstone Muthama and Budalang’i MP, Ababu Namwamba.
