Lagos: Car Mechanic Stabs Man for Pinging While Driving, Then Robs Him

                         Julius-Joseph
IJAIYE, LAGOS - Olajide Olaniran, a car mechanic, has stabbed a 34-tear old man, Julius Joseph for allegedly pinging while driving, PUNCH is reporting. The paper reports that Joseph was returning from the bank when his car was blocked by Olaniran's Toyota Corolla.

Joseph said he was checking an alert on his phone at the time, but Olaniran said he was pinging and driving. Joseph on the other hand accused the mechanic of driving against traffic and both men came down from their vehicles for an altercation.

This was what led to Olaniran's using a bottle to stab Joseph, then running away with Joseph's two phones and N5,000.

Joseph lost a lot of blood, and he passed out on the scene. He was rushed to the Lagos state University teaching Hospital in Ikeja, then transferred to the National Orthopaedic Hospital in Igbobi for intensive care.

Olaniran was later arrested when the case was reported at the Meiran Police station.
