Following the botched ODM nominations for the Homa Bay Senatorial by-elections yesterday which were disrupted by goons christened ‘Men in White’ (MIW), some shocking revelations have emerged as to who financed the goons to cause mayhem.
Speaking to the media yesterday, some aspirants alleged that Ruaraka MP, TJ Kajwang, and his younger brother, Moses Kajwang, who is also an aspirant seeking to contest in the by election on an ODM ticket, ferried 41 Mungiki youth from Nairobi and hired MIW to disrupt the nominations in Homa Bay so that he can be given a free nomination ticket by ODM.
We have reliable information that the goons who disrupted the nominations and caused chaos in Homa Bay are not from here, they are Mungiki from Nairobi. TJ Kajwang and his brother Moses ferried 41 of them here to do the dirty job for them,” said one of the aspirants.
Moses is banking on the good will of Party Leader, Raila Odinga, to get a free ODM nomination certificate to contest in the by-election that was occasioned by the death of his brother, Otieno Kajwang’, last month.
It is said that Raila assured Kajwang’s family that he will do everything within his powers to ensure that the seat remains in the family.
