Cristiano Ronaldo dumped girlfriend for not attending his mother’s birthday party.

 News making the rounds that Real Madrid striker, Cristiano Ronaldo and his model girlfriend, Irina Shayk have split, it has been confirmed that the football star dumped the model over her refusal not to attend his mother’s surprise birthday party.

According to reports from Portugal’s Correio da Manha, the Russian model who recently unfollowed the football star on Twitter, had earlier told the former Manchester United star that she wouldn’t be attending his mother’s 60th birthday party and that is believed to have prompted the breakup.

A source also confirmed split, saying: ‘Cristiano wanted to surprise his mum and as he spent Christmas with Irina in Dubai, he had planned to be with his mum on her birthday, but Irina didn’t want to go. They had such a big row that he ended up spending New Years Eve alone with his son.

Irina Shayk, who dated the star for close to five years, wasn’t present at the 2014 FIFA Ballon d’Or to support the superstar who received his 3rd accolade as the World Best Player and didn’t offer words of congratulations to him on social media..
