The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has ordered all Adamawa State primaries moved to Abuja, after a panel sent to conduct House of Assembly nomination there said its members were held hostage on the instructions of the governor, while state agents rigged the process.

All Adamawa primaries, including state assembly, governorship and national assembly, will now hold in Abuja starting December 7, the party said Friday.
A statement from the party did not provide reasons for the decision, but a party official told reporters the PDP does not recognise the outcome of the controversial Adamawa Assembly primaries held last week.

The PDP election committee for Adamawa state assembly primary had in a petition said its members were harassed, forced to accept fictitious results and announce same to the media.

The panel disowned the results, and urged the party to do same.

The PDP also announced a reschedule of Anambra National Assembly primaries. The election was earlier billed for December 6.

The party aid it will also meet with PDP officials from Borno and Yobe States, in Abuja on Saturday.

The two states are controlled by the All Progressives Congress, APC, and are the hot-bed of Boko Haram crisis.
There are fears elections may not hold in the two states in 2015.
