Lagos State Deports 70 Beggars To Kano - Sahara Reporters

                          beggers
Seventy northerners have been deported by the Lagos state government, says Sahara Reporters. Public begging has been banned in Lagos, and the Northerners were found begging.

The online newspaper says the deportees are now in Kano state, after they had been bundled out of Lagos state. A local Hausa radio program in Kano featured the returnees complaining that they were in captivity for months and experienced dire circumstances before they were sent off to Kano.

Some of they say they don't even hail from Kano, but from Niger, Jigawa, Zamfara, Kaduna, Kebbi and Sokoto states.
