Five Suspect Has been Arrested For Defiling 14-Year-Old Girl In Ekiti
The Nigerian Police force Ekiti State Command has arrested five suspects in connection with the defilement of a 14-year-old girl at Ikole-Ekiti on November 21.
The suspects are Olaoluwa Gbenga, 20; Dada Samson, 18; Saliu kazeem, 19; Olaoluwa Lekan, 20 and Aribaloye Lekan, 20.
According to a statement by the State Police Public Relations Officer, Victor Babayemi, the incident happened around 2 p.m. on the fateful day.
Investigation revealed that the suspects lured the victim to one of them, Dada Samson, where they took their turn to defile her.
The victim’s scream attracted neighbors to the room where the suspects were caught in the acts. Detectives were contacted immediately and the suspects were arrested.
“The victim was taken to the hospital and the result of medical examiner confirmed the incident. Suspects would be arraigned in court as soon as investigation is complete”, the statement added.
The command also said it has begun investigation into the murder of one Sylvester Godwin.
The incident took place on December 4, at Oko Oba Camp, Erinjiyan Road, Ilawe-Ekiti, at about 9 a.m. when one Johnson Esharefa, 45, left three children including the deceased unsupervised, with a dane gun that was loaded.
“One of the children, allegedly fiddling with the gun, shot the victim to death. The murder weapon has been recovered while four suspects, including, Johnson Esharefa, are now in custody undergoing interrogation”, the statement added.
