Nigerian Army Bombard Sambisa Forest
As part of measures implemented by the government to eradicate the deadly Boko Haram insurgency, the military with assistance from Chad and Cameroon forces bombed the insurgents notorious camp in Sambisa Forest.
It was gathered that for almost an hour, the army used it war planes and armored vehicles to level some of the Boko Haram camps in the northeast.
Confirming the reports, Major General Chris Olukolade, director of Defence Information, in a statement said: “The mission is on. There are no allowing terrorists anywhere. As many times as they come, it will only give us the opportunity to decimate them.”
“Contrary to the impression being pushed in some quarters, it is the Nigerian forces that planned and are driving the present onslaught against terrorists from all fronts in Nigeria, not the Chadian forces, as is being propagated by some media.”
Meanwhile, the military has also reassured Nigerians that they are still committed to keep the country safe at whatever cost.
