After a four year hiatus, the incomparable R&B/Highlife singer, Tosin Martins blesses us with a divine song ‘Letter Days’ off his forthcoming album ‘I’m a M.E.S.’ in live and living colour.
The song, featuring Waje, addresses how, back in the day, lovers were made to earnestly articulate their feelings to one another on a piece of paper as it was the only means of communication to a significant other miles away. Alas, those days are now in the past because what letters internally conveyed then, buttons on a keypad couldn’t now.
One thing that was surely conveyed though, was the essence of Letter Days in this beautifully-shot video by Mex. To that, I say, “Message sent!”
With key appearances from Mad City presenter, Ope Richards, Ruby Gyang, Timi Dakolo, Femi Jacobs, Lala Akindoju and a mailman as depicted by the hilarious Seyi Law, the video is a stellar reintroduction for Tosin Martins to his fans; which after all is said, done and written, is anyone with a heart.”
