The vice-chancellor, University of Ibadan, Professor Isaac Adewole, at the convocation ceremony of the institution, on Thursday, announced that the university can now provide access to education for those who wish to study at home while doing their job, through the Distance Learning, Nigerian Tribune reports.
“In this regard, our Distance Learning Centre has been producing quality graduates to support the human resources need for the country”

“Therefore, a total of 135 students are graduating from the Distance Learning programme today, one of whom made a First class and 14 others, Second Class (Upper Division).”

The VC said that the university has continued to take giant strides at repositioning itself on the same page as the rest of the world.

“It is my greatest pleasure to inform you, ladies and gentlemen, that one of such strides is the University’s investment in forge-proof e-certificate”

“The forge proof e-certificate has eight security features that are not visible to the eyes”

He said this will bring to an end, attempts by misrepresented certificates issued by the University.

Adewole, while commending the graduands, urged them to always have it in mind to give back to the institution that made.

“Your contribution will go a long way to sustain the tradition of excellence of which you are beneficiaries” he said.
