The 35-year tailor was tricked out of his house in Surulere before he was shot to death.

                              Life Cut Short: Tailor Killed By Cultists In Lagos
A 35-year-tailor, Lukman Sotomiwa, was on Tuesday, November, November 18, murdered by suspected members of a cult group in the Surulere suburb of Lagos.

Lukman Sotomiwa was shot around 10pm outside his house after was tricked by his murderers to come out from his house with a telephone call. According to a Punch report, the Ogun State indigene was left in his pool of blood and died on the spot. His remains were later evacuated by the police.
Residents in the area revealed that Lukman’s death was the third killing within a week.

As many keep wondering why he was killed and his connection to the cultists, friends of the deceased revealed that he was not a cultist.

Speaking to Punch, the wife of the late tailor said she saw her husband for the last time earlier in the day around 5pm. He described her late husband as very hardworking and expressed pessimism about the efforts of the police to get to the root of the killing.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Lagos State Command, Kenneth Nwosu, however said that though no arrest has been made concerning the killing, his men are making efforts to apprehend the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
