How many minutes of call will N10 recharge card reach???
Nigeria- MTN Subscribers will as from Friday have the opportunity to recharge their phones for as low as N10, according to a statement from The Chief Marketing Officer of MTN, Bayo Adekanmbi, on Thursday.
The initiative, to be launched in Kano, was to ensure that no Nigerian was shut out of the values that the network offers, according to Punch.
The MTN Shikenan proposition gives MTN customers in the North, access to N10 VTU or N10 airtime to enjoy one voice- minute call and one text message.
Explaining the rationale for this noble idea, MTN’s Chief Marketing Officer, Bayo Adekanmbi according to WorldStage, said MTN wants to ensure that no customer should be without airtime on his or her phone at any point in time.
“Basically, we are doing this with a view to ensuring that there is universal access for all and sundry. No Nigerian must be disenfranchised from the benefit of reaching a limitless world of opportunities and possibilities” he stated.
“Apart from making it possible for customers to purchase airtime at the lowest rates, it also offers opportunities for small scale entrepreneurs to sell low-unit portion packs of recharge cards as a new revenue stream. Again, everyday people such as Maishayi, neighbourhood stalls, housewives, students, etc would also benefit immensely from this proposition.”
